An MSc Civil Engineer, Mariano has been involved in the construction industry for more than 40 years. He has held senior management positions both in his native Argentina and one of Spain’s global leaders in construction.

As Business Development Director, he worked on analysing and evaluating new markets and commercial opportunities as well as developing relationships with clients, partners, strategic subcontractors, suppliers and designers; and negotiating and implementing alliances, partnerships, collaborations and various associations to achieve the most efficient arrangement for each opportunity.

As Area Manager, he consolidated expansion into new markets and held broad high-level management responsibilities for the company’s business activities in the Middle East, North Africa and India regions. He has managed, administered and brought to successful completion numerous international high-profile, highly complex projects across different countries within diverse business and socio-economic environments.

His knowledge extends across the Americas, the Middle East and Europe. His areas of expertise include all phases of construction management activities including identification of potential business opportunities; assessment during tender stage; and development and negotiation during project execution stage.

Over 35 years’ experience in establishing, managing and expanding successful overseas businesses in construction. He has comprehensive knowledge of the entire international construction business from development through operations to management of major multimillion Euro projects.

Andreas has in-depth experience in high speed rail, including high-profile projects such as Eurotunnel or the first high speed rail in Turkey. He has held director and senior management positions in leading European construction companies such as OHL SA and Bilfinger Berger AG and sat on the Management Boards of major international Joint Ventures.

He was co-founder and first president of the Spanish Business Council in Qatar and has worked throughout the Middle-East, Europe, Far-East and South America.

Andreas grew up in Brazil with a German background. Andreas holds a master degree in Civil Engineering and extended studies in Business Administration.

Manuel is a MEng with 31 years’ experience in the construction industry, concessions business and service sector for multinational companies in both his native Spain and internationally.

Manuel has extensive knowledge of the entire construction business from tendering and negotiation, to the setting up of joint ventures and consortia, the logistical challenges of establishing sites abroad, and the management of projects through to their successful completion.

He is also experienced in the leadership and coordination of teams, tasked with identifying, evaluating and negotiating the acquisition of companies in Latin America and Central Europe and with the incorporation of these subsidiaries, both locally and internationally, overseeing their management and strategic planning, resource optimisation and the extension of their markets locally and beyond national borders.

Manuel has served as Chairman of the Management Board of a large construction and precast concrete group in Eastern Europe and also as international director and Board member of foreign subsidiaries to a leading Spanish contractor, overseeing teams working on the preparation of tenders, feasibility studies, investment proposals, and project and maintenance budgets for concession projects.

Ricardo Guirao holds a law degree and MBA and is a European Union law graduate. He has specialised in representing non-resident companies operating in both Spain and the EU, in all customs and tax related issues.

Ricardo has more than 30 years’ experience in advising and developing businesses for Spanish companies internationally, including in Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Columbia and the USA. His own reputed law firm, which includes a subsidiary consultancy firm for international representations is a reference for foreign companies in Spain. Ricardo also teaches at the Escuela de Organización Europea, where he lectures on the development of international start-ups and commercial law.

Civil engineer with MBA having more than 36 years experience in the construction industry, evolving from project management to director positions.

Vast experience in all types of civil engineering projects and singular construction,  for both public and private clients, using various business models, including PPP schemes, concession projects and client financed ventures.

Throughout his  professional career, which has spanned the globe, including Europe, South America, Asia and Oceania, Antonio has managed and lead multidisciplinary and multiethnic teams in each of the countries  he has worked in. As an International Director, he has held positions on Boards of Directors of concession companies and subsidiaries.

Antonio has acquired the capacity to understand how a market is structured, the keys to its success, who the important players are and how they interrelate. 

Antonio has applied his extensive technical, creative, commercial and team management skills to define strategies to further develop the construction business making it more efficient through resource optimization.
