An MEng, Mariano has been involved in the construction industry for more than 40 years. He has held senior management positions both in his native Argentina and one of Spain’s global leaders in construction. As Business Development Director, he worked on analysing and evaluating new markets and commercial opportunities as well as developing relationships with clients, partners, strategic subcontractors, suppliers and designers; and negotiating and implementing alliances, partnerships, collaborations and various associations to achieve the most efficient arrangement for each opportunity.
As Area Manager, he consolidated expansion into new markets and held broad high-level management responsibilities for the company’s business activities in the Middle East, North Africa and India regions. He has managed, administered and brought to successful completion numerous international high-profile, highly complex projects across different countries within diverse business and socio-economic environments.
His knowledge extends across the Americas, the Middle East and Europe. His areas of expertise include all phases of construction management activities including identification of potential business opportunities; assessment during tender stage; and development and negotiation during project execution stage.
